Nathan looks down at his feet as he dangles 20 feet in the air. Then looks up at the tree that’s holding on to his parachute.
Nathan: well it’s been one hell of a journey. He takes out a pocketknife and starts to cut himself free. nathan continues to say, so far today I’ve botched a resteal. He cuts one rope. tried to rescue a pretty lady while being shot at. cuts himself free by cutting the second rope and lands on a tree branch. only to find out her ex-boyfriend was trying to kill us. Starts climbing down from the tree. Was tortured, then rescued only to jump out of a burning helicopter as it fell from the sky. Continues climbing down from the tree. Then land in a tree hanging from 20 feet in the air. He slips on a branch and falls hard to the ground.
Nathan: I really have to rethink my life choices. He picks himself up off the ground and takes out his walkie-talkie.
Nathan: Charlie. You got a copy? There’s no answer.
Nathan: Charlie? Chloe? Still no answer. “Damnit.” He puts away his walkie-talkie. “And now my partners aren’t answering my calls.” Looks around at his surroundings. He’s completely surrounded by jungle. “Some partners.” Starts walking through the jungle. “Well not partners. I just met them.” Moves a large leafy plant out of his way as he continues to walk. “But we did jump out of a burning helicopter together.” Jumps down into a trench. “You’d think that almost dying together would mean something.” Runs through the trench. “Almost didn’t make it out. Almost…”
Stops running. Nathan: “Oh shit! Chloe! Did she make it out? That’s why she’s not answering. I need to find her.” Climbs out of the trench, looks around at his surroundings. He’s standing next to the face of a mountain. “I can’t see a damn thing from here.” Looks up the face of the mountain and starts climbing. “She’s probably still in the helicopter”. Left hand grabs a rock and pulls himself up. “Clingy on to dear life”. Right-foot steps on rock and pushes himself up. “Praying for someone to save her.” Right-hand grabs ledge and pulls himself up. ‘Nathan, where are you? Help me.’ Looks around to see where he wants to go next. He sees another ledge not far away. “I’m coming Chloe. I’ll save you.” Right-hand grabs rock to pull himself up.
Nathan: “Unless Charlie gets there first.” Left-foot steps on rock pushing himself up. “I wonder what’s going on with those two.” Left hand pulls vine and pulls it to test its strength. It holds. “Surely, they’re not a couple.” He laughs at the idea as he runs forward along the face of the mountain. “I mean that’s just crazy. What could she possibly see in him?” Runs backward along the face of the mountain. “He’s an arrogant, attention seeking…asshole.” Runs forward along the face of the mountain and jumps to the next ledge. “Probably a liar too.” Grabs another vine and pulls it to test its strength. “A pathological liar.” Starts climbing that vine. “Well, I don’t know that.” The vine ends short of the next ledge. He pulls on another vine to test its strength, and it falls. “Yeah, he’s definitely a liar.”
He pulls another vine to test its strength and it holds, then carefully switches to the new vine. “He probably even convinced Chloe to abandon me in the middle of the jungle.” He starts climbing the new vine. “Probably laughing about it right now.” Stops climbing and takes out his walkie talkie. “Charlie! Are you there?!”. There’s no response. “Bastard.” Puts away the walkie talkie. “Assholes.” Starts climbing again. “Cock sucking.” Pulls himself up to the next ledge. “Mother fucking.” Takes out his walkie talkie again. “Son of bitch.” Prepares to call Charlie again.
Charlie: Sounds like my cousin Vinny.
Nathan: Charlie! Where the hell have you been? I’ve been trying to reach you.
Charlie: pardon the fuck out of me. I just jumped out of a burning helicopter and wasn’t able to take your call.
Nathan: have you seen Chloe?
Charlie rolls his eyes: nahh mate, Like I said. Been busy.
Nathan: we’ve gotta find her
Charlie: you are really annoying
Nathan ignores him and asks: do you know where the helicopter went down?
Charlie: nahh mate, but there’s a clearing just around the bend. we should be able to see something from over there. points towards a nearby location.
Nathan and charlie walk around a large tree, through thick woods; move a few large green plants out the way, then wade through a curtain of vines and look out over the jungle. they’re both shocked to see a full rainbow in the sky
nathan: wow
charlie: there’s no pot of gold at the end of that mate
nathan: haha…cute. he looks off to the right of the rainbow and sees a pillar of smoke and points towards it. There it is.
Charlie: yeah i see it. but i don’t see the drone. where’s the drone?
Nathan: crap. i forgot about that damn drone.
charlie: come on. i know a faster way down. i’m not tryna to climb down all that.
nathan: hmpf and you call yourself a treasure hunter. but he follows him anyways as he turns back towards the way he came from. charlie ignores his comment (not really) as he turns right, heading towards a new trail.
charlie: so…how’d you lose the key? runs through a curtain of hanging vines
nathan dodges a thick heavy vine as it swings back at him: really?
charlie: just asking. runs around large tree
nathan follows him around the tree: but you already know. then ducks as a branch snaps back at him.
charlie: i mean…well…yeah. i just want to hear your side of the story. jumps over fallen tree branch. how did you let a woman outsmart you. continues running.
nathan: hey, nobody said that. stumbles after jumping over fallen tree branch
charlie: nobody had to. stops on a hill, but nathan stops two steps passed him, which is one step too many because he slips and falls into a mudslide.
charlie: well shit. jumps in after him.
-nathan and charlie climb down the mountain towards the helicopter
-nathan and charlie head towards helicopter wreckage
-on the way to the helicopter they see the drone hovering in a ravine
—and they see chloe’s parachute
—they climb down into the ravine
-the drone is hovering near the entrance of a cave
-they attack the drone
—nathan fires the final shot to take down the drone
-they find chloe wounded hiding in a cave
